True Glamour Never Fades

Thirty-five years after the famous Maysles brothers' documentary of the same name, the winner of Emmy GREY GARDENS offers us a witty and personal view of "Big Edie" and "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale, two charming eccentric relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and degraded inhabitants of a mansion in the Hamptons. Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore play the roles of solitary mother and daughter, whose tastes and unconventional social rebellion transcended the public. The story of this film directed by Michael Sucsy from a screenplay written by Sucsy and Patricia Rozema, through four decades and focuses on their glamorous lives've opulent, long before the documentary was made, and the circumstances behind the story and went from rich to poor.
